We aren't doing much ygo news, but I feel this one is noteworthy, as it is kinda amusing.
Many have been wondering for a while what the banlist for worlds will be now that we have the banlist separation. Some were expecting an intelligent move from konami to resolve this issue. On the other hand, konami followed the more sane expectations, by not giving a f***. On the question to "TCG or OCG banlist" their answer was

Welcome to the most restrictive banlist in the history of the game. What basically happened is that konami took both banlists (latest) and applied the highest restriction possible from the two on every card involved to create one mega banlist. In addition, of course territory exclusives are not allowed, as well as certain promos (and the 4 cards from japanese shop duel forbidden list? iunno).
Inb4, people like the banlist, until they find it inbalanced ofc. Now all we need is draft for finals and the awkward ygo poking may begin.
