Anime Avatar Parade

First topic message reminder :

Basically, people need to assign a theme, and according to said theme can people nominate specific anime based on it. So for instance, if I said action, I could nominate Hellsing for instance.

Once an anime has been voted for, people who would like to participate can change their avatars on the forum to those of characters from said anime. Bonus point if you change your chat icon as well.

How will this work? Anybody can nominate any anime. A nominated anime will get a ticket, and if that anime is being nominated by multiple users, then it'll get as many tickets as the number of people who nominated it, effectively increasing its chances of being picked.

After a certain amount of time, all the nominated anime will be put in a raffle and a random anime will be selected. The person who nominated the winning anime will then be allowed to pick the theme of the next competition.

• There's nothing to gain from this event. It's just for fun.
• There's no specific rule to the theme that you can assign. However, if it is a bit too severe and may end up providing very few results, we might ask you to change it.
• If multiple people win, they can all decide together. However, if too many people win, then one person will be picked at random.
• People who select themes are not allowed to nominate any anime shows. Since I'll be starting off, I won't be able to vote for anything this time.
• If a person participating is not familiar with a nominated anime, he or she can seek help from others.
• Participants will need to find their own avatars. However, it is still possible to ask for help.
• No hentai anime allowed. People still need to look up this stuff so if something's NSFW, then they are very likely to encounter it.
• In case something comes up, such as fighting or themes that probably will not work out, an administrator may step in. It probably won't happen though. Much.

Nominations will be left open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The results for the winning anime will be in by Saturday night according to central time. Participants will need to keep their new avatars from Sunday until the next Saturday where a new anime will be nominated.

This week's theme will be science. Nominate an anime that is involved with science in one way or the other (however cyberpunk anime is not allowed unless it does have a scientific side to it).

At least go for real romance and add White Album 2 to the mix. I'd propose 1 as well, but then everyone's avi would be ringing telephones.

I would recommend an actual romance story, but sad to say, it's not a genre that I'm rooted into. I don't think I know about a single show that is purely romance.
Unless Chunnibyou counts as pure romance, but even so, I doubt that it does.

I would recommend 2 for this as well if there were more than 3 relevant characters, or like, 6/7 maximum, just so that people don't have repeating avis.

WA1 though, I haven't seen, so can't say anything.

With that said I nominate Macross as a series for being half-romance half-mecha, all music.

Since Danna first nominated Oreimo, I'll use that for his nomination. Either way, I doubt Oreimo has a strong chance of winning.

I managed to get in contact with Earl, and he told me that the theme that he would like to use is Harem.

I'll pass this one and vote for the next one.
