*condescending Leo voice* Nobody here would care about Roger Jr.

Roger Jr. removed from international versions of Tekken 7

For one of the most bizarre content cuts I've seen, Roger Jr. isn't going to be available in the international versions of Tekken 7. Katsuhiro Harada, the producer of Tekken, had this to say about the issue:

Quote :
“There was a video of a man’s dog being headlocked by a kangaroo, and he punched it in the face. It turned into a big problem. People were complaining about him punching a kangaroo. It seems that in the last few years there’s a lot more animal activists – even though they probably wouldn’t play our game they would still hear about that, about a kangaroo in our game being punched, and would complain about it.”

It's really strange to see Harada take this stance concerning this issue, especially when two years ago he heavily defended Lucky Chloe from a group of rabid Tekken fans, on top of still including Kuma and Panda (thank god) in the game due to - at least according to him - a bear being obviously stronger than a human. From early projections we've seen of Tekken 7's tier list from the competitive Japanese side, Roger Jr. isn't anywhere to be found and is most likely going to end up as a fun low tier character, so chances are this won't affect the competitive scene much.

It's just a shame to see content cut like this, especially when it's over silly reasons such as being worried about disappointing a group of people that has nothing to do with the game nor will support it anyways regardless of Harada's decision, something Harada even said himself. Hopefully there's enough time for Harada to change his mind before the game's release in almost exactly a month from now.
Just kidding, I love you, Leo baby~

The Joker as the last revealed character for Injustice 2's roaster

I mean we all saw it coming. Who didn't see this coming?

I was initially going to report on this since the reveal was initially through a leak from someone who got their hands on French gameplay footage of the game, but two days ago Netherrealm released his full English trailer with final confirmation that he'll be voiced by - you guessed it- Mark Hamill.

Joker's looking a little different this time around albeit not completely abandoning what made his classic design special. His moveset seems to have been redone, which is great because he certainly wasn't fun to play in the previous game. And with that, Netherrealm is wrapping up all the character announcements, so stay tuned for Injustice 2 on May 5th.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite rumor about simplifying inputs confirmed fake

It was a rumor on NeoGAF after all, but weirdly it was from the same person who's been slowly supplying us with clean and later-confirmed leaks on the game. Most of us expected this train to carry on and believed him, but eventually Capcom's director of licensing and exports came to Twitter and denied such speculations on the spot. Most will definitely see this as a cause of rejoice as there was quite a lot of panic among the fighting game community. Sorry, Al, but maybe you'll win this battle next time.

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 Demo is out today

If you're still on the fence about Guilty Gear's latest iteration, there's a demo that you can download for free in the meantime, provided that you have a PlayStation 4 and a PS+ subscription. This demo will let you use all of the characters in arcade, vs and training, both online and offline (offline functionality currently reported to be buggy at the moment).

Remember, the expansion is out on May 26th worldwide. You can either get the original Revelator for cheap from Amazon (I saw some copies go for as cheap as $11) and then buy the update on PSN for $20, or get the updated version of the game physically (only for PS4) from Amazon for $40 ($32 if you have a Prime subscription).

Street Fighter V removes Thailand stage due to controversial bgm

It seems like the latest stage from Street Fighter V had some religious content included in its background music. If you're curious about how bad it is, let's just say it's Ocarina of Time Fire Temple bad. Essentially we're talking about actual Islamic prayers (mostly the opening to prayers) being included in the music. Since Muslims don't take kindly to any religious content being used in similar non-religious matters, Capcom had to pull the stage quickly from the store. In a later statement, they've claimed that the stage will be returning albeit with an obviously new BGM.

What puzzles me is...who thought this was a good idea in the first place, especially when the stage is a Buddhist temple? Oh well. At least Capcom was quick to respond.

New gameplay trailer for Marvel vs Capcom Infinite

Just to wrap things up, here's a new trailer showcasing just how the gameplay for the game will look like. If you'd like to see Maximillion's analysis, you can check out the video below.
