Addictions

So I happened to come into a conversation to which the topic was as said, addictions. I was told that music itself is naturally more addictive than any drug on Earth.

Care to discuss? feelings?

what im trying to wonder is if people actually gain or lose apart of themselves into their music. i wonder how much people are shaped by it.

well i'm addicted to drumming and dancing so i think i's a gain. i gained skills and a fit body. i smell +

Music (generally Pop music) actually stimulates the brain into releasing endorphins which is why with the right beat and rhythm any listener, no matter how much of a metal head they are, would actually enjoy the song (though they won't always admit it). These songs are generally the ones that for some reason your foot starts tapping or you just want to dance too even though you don't like or feel like dancing, which can be seen as an addiction.

I like weed.
I like music.

I like music while on weed.

I think we've reached a stalemate here.

I don't actually take weed.

i dunno, i would say in some cases it is addictive. when i like a song ill listen to it for ages over and over till i find another song lol, but yeah i wouldnt say its an addiction that'll have a major impact on you yourself.

Read, or go outside or something. Without music, I tend to just draw.

Without music for a week? I don't think that is even possible for me. Considering I play percussion in my school band it I get at least one class every day.

I don't believe I am ADDICTED to music. I believe I just like it enough that I listen to it often. Music is a great thing. It's not like if I'm taken into a room padded with soundproof material I would start to shake and act up like when one is taken off of alcohol suddenly.

I'm a firm believer in music is a drug. Without music, if it was totally ripped apart from me, I'd be dead. It's one of the few reasons I enjoy life.

music is good i'm a drummer to so i tend to jam to rock and metal :D
