I really was just making the deck with E-Hero in mind, I didn't do any background research on them and just kind of went with what I thought was decent.

You need to start from 0 again.

1st you need to think about what kind of HERO deck you're building - Bubble or Beat.
Both decks run a little amount of monsters, the Bubble runs more spell cards (more search cards) and the Beat runs more trap cards (such as Skill Drain).

The basic monster line-up is:
1 Stratos
3 Alius
1 Photon Trasher
and it depends what of those 2 builds you're going with, if the bubble you need:
3 Bubbleman
if you're going with the Beat:
Copies of Barbaros and Thunder King.

E-Hero Deck Empty
PostSubject: Re: E-Hero Deck    E-Hero Deck EmptyWed Sep 12, 2012 4:03 am

Before anything else you need to learn how to properly deckbuild and what you should be going for in a deck (Card advantage/presence comes to mind first, which is probably the first thing you learn in competitive play and maybe the easiest to learn in it. Perhaps also what would help you the most.) But for when you do, or if you wanna try anyways, here is some HERO deck information, which there is a good chance you won't read anyways.

There are multiple approaches you can take for a deck utilizing an Elemental Hero engine.

As it has been noted, two of them are Gemini Beat or Bubble Beat.
Gemini Beat is a stun deck that primarily uses a very compact hero engine of Elemental Hero Stratos + Elemental Hero Neos Alius. Alius is used because it is a 1900 HERO monster that is also a gemini monster. That makes it compatible with Gemini Spark, which is a good, 141 chainable destruction card, while being normal in the graveyard also makes it compatible with Hero Blast as a bonus. From the HERO support cards you also use 2 E - Emergency call, usually 2 or 3 Miracle Fusions and a number of Super Polymerizations if you choose so, while you add Reinforcements of the Army as all Elemental HEROes are Warriors. In the Extra deck you add the Omni Heroes (that refers to the 6 Heroes that are made with an Elemental Hero + a monster of a certain attribute, for example Elemental Hero Absolute Zero), with preferably multiple copies of Elemental Hero The Shining. It is also highly recommended that you use certain rank 4 Xyz monsters in such a deck, and primarily cards like Heroic Champion Excalibur and Blade Armor Ninja. The monster lineup can range from as low as 6 or even 5 cards (a popular choice in the OCG in fact before Bubbleman was used) all the way to early 10s, without counting cards such as Maxx C. The rest of the monster lineup often consists of stun metacalls, the rest of the s/t lineup is often a regular stun/control lineup, sometimes featuring Skill Drain in the main deck.

Bubble Beat is a somewhat similar deck which however has to keep a small monster count to utilize Elemental Hero Bubbleman (even keeping Alius in less than 3 for example is a decent idea). The purpose Elemental Hero Bubbleman serves in the deck is that it can be special summoned from the hand, making for easy Rank 4 Warrior Xyz. Excalibur and Blade Armor Ninja to be exact, which can be produced with Bubbleman and a Stratos, have great OTK potential, or at least can keep a constant threat to go for game.

Alive Hero takes the OTK potential a step further. The deck uses max A Hero Lives, max E - Emergency Call, 3 Bubblemen, 1 Stratos, 1 Alius, max Miracle Fusion, perhaps some copies of A Warrior Returning Alive and at least 6 pieces of spell and trap hate (1 Heavy Storm, 3 Mystical Space Typhoon + a number of Night Beam) to make sure the OTK can happen. A relatively small control lineup is also added, Pot of Duality and Cardcar D are used to increase consistency. The deck however was hit by losing 1 A Hero Lives and 1 E - Emergency Call, which may push it behind the line of the required consistency to run, making it a less viable choice now.

None of the above are exactly your regular HERO deck, at least not how HEROes are meant to be played, and mostly are based on utilizing cards such as Gemini Spark (Gemini Beat was overused way before Miracle Fusion plays started, I remember talking about the Miracle - Shining innovation back in Pegasus Elite in fact) and the combination of Warrior Xyz plus Bubbleman's special summon capabilities, all of them being viable with Stratos's great effect and the great searchability they have with E-Emergency Call + Reinforcement of the Army.

The Elemental Hero side of the deck is more utilized in Gate Heroes, a much less good (especially in this stun favouring format) but ok choice. It uses 3 copies of Fusion Gate and 2-3 copies of Terraforming to search it. It is based primarily on Shining's effect. The plan is to make Elemental Hero the Shining, get back the materials used when it is destroyed, and repeat. If Stratos is part of the equation you get a new hero every time it happens, in fact an e-call into stratos, terraforming into Gate, stratos into LIGHT Elemental HERO, both into Shining, is a decent opening play. From then on you have options. Cards like Miracle Fusion and Parallel World Fusion to take advantage of your grave and banished cards, Elemental Hero Voltic which is for one LIGHT and can get back the banished cards, and then the Elemental Hero lineup offers options such as Elemental Hero The Flash to get back a good spell card, Elemental Hero Heat, Elemental Hero Prisma to mill specific materials such as Ocean (material of Terra Firma), Mask Change with Masked Heroes, the aforementioned Bubbleman for those same tricks, etc. Chain Material may also be considered since apart from certain plays which can certainly OTK if the deck is built properly, Chain Material also happens to be able to do pretty much anything you can think of, with very precise deckbuilding that is. With the loss of Future Fusion and 1 E - Emergency Call the deck has to at least go through some changes from its standard builds, but it still can be more or less as viable as it was before. Which may not be that much of course.

Oh, and to everyone else: Do not inform us of something you did NOT do if you were not expected to do it anyways. Whether you get it or not, you have been warned.

E-Hero Deck Empty
PostSubject: Re: E-Hero Deck    E-Hero Deck EmptyThu Mar 07, 2013 8:16 am

Yeah, choose what kind you want first. Bubble or Beat, but heck, if you want a fusion type E-Hero deck go ahead.

For a fusion E-Hero focus around 2 or 3 E-Hero Fusions then use others that can be useful. (I.E. Making the deck around Flame Wingman, and the Shining. That means you need 2-3 Avian, 2-3 Burstanaxix, 3 Alius, and a Stratos.)You will always need to run Stratos and Alius though. Ok, so we're making a Flame Wingman deck. Line-up: 3 Alius, 1 Stratos, 2-3 Bubbleman, 2-3 Burstanaxtrix and 2-3 Avian. 1 Wildheart, maybe a Photon Thrasher. Run E-Call, Miracle Fusion, Poly, even Fusion Gate. And for the extra, 3 Flame Wingman, along with fillers you can do like Shining, Absolute Zero, maybe even mix in some Masked Heroes with Mask of Change.

And the other two types have already been explained.

Good luck. ^^
