This portrays the first of four main characters of the new series, RWBY. It seems like a unique entry in the animation world from Rooster Teeth. I am a fan of badass lolis and complex weaponry in general, so I would give this a watch by the time it's out. Also, Monty Oum did a great job with the animation to be frank.
EDIT: Here are the rest of the trailers since we're updating the topic anyways.

not sure if this is an anime it seems more like a game to me honestly.. and i would rather it be a game than an anime the anime style seems a bit odd to me too
Now that they revealed all four characters of RWBY, what's your impression on each one of them?
Red is still my favorite, but I was disgusted by her appearance in Yellow's trailer. Her trailer had a pretty dark atmosphere which originally made her appeal to me, but it died once she spoke. Her voice made me cringe. In my opinion, she was the most well-designed and well-thought of character until Yellow's trailer came out.
White is cool. She stands out the most among the four, which is why she is unique. I just hope she doesn't get much of a speaking role and sticks to singing most of the time, it would add so very much to her character. Red may be my favorite, but so far from what I've seen, I think White is the most well-designed.
I didn't like Black that much. It just seemed like they were doing something very similar to what's been done before with Red. Also, I couldn't really get to know her better from the trailer to judge her personality, and her decision to cut the train line was, well, not explained or backed up with a logical explanation.
Yellow would have to be my favorite right after Red. Again, the whole melee+gun was done here, only that gauntlets+shotgun (I think it was a shotgun, because she ejected shells to empty her magazine) make it seem less unoriginal, and using it not only as a projectile weapon, but also as a speed booster is pretty creative.
Red Trailer - Mindblown. Absolutely freakin mindblown. White Trailer - Loved it. Not as much as Red but I settled on it not being able to compare to how much awesome Red's was and accepted it as a worthy follow up. Black Trailer - Whut. Everything I've picked up to thus far crushed. Yellow Trailer - Started poorly, was neat in the middle, ended poorly.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH RED'S VOICE. GIVE ME OLD RED BACK WHEN IT WAS JUST ONE TRAILER, MYSTERIOUS, AWESOME AND SILENT. Q_Q Looking forward to the series, but I'm also afraid for it. Looked awesome the first two trailers but worries skyrocketed out of proportion with the next two trailers.
http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?sid=rwby&v=more This'll take you to the first episode of RWBY. It's on Rooster Teeth's website, so you'll have to watch it there.
If you want my opinion on this, I say that they took away a lot of potential and flushed it down. I was expecting something dark, something that doesn't end up as a "super team of super heroes ready to take on the bad guys" kind of thing, y'know? Well, even if it is at a bad start in my opinion, I say we should be patient with it, it's only one episode.
I've only seen the first episode (haven't watched the next one yet) and I agree with Kimo... I dunno, I was just so blown away with the Red Trailer back in the day that everything pales in comparison, my expectations bar was set incredibly high.
With that said, forgetting everything I was hoping for and taking it for what it is, I actually rather like the plot they're going with and will keep watching it. "I don't like the plot for RWBY as I was expecting it." would be an accurate way to summarize why I'm disappointed, but in reality if this was some TV show or anime, I'd be interested, lol.
