ADHD

You don't have it. Sorry. See the last "D" in the acronym? That one stands for "disorder". If everyone had it, it wouldn't be a disorder, it would be a normal function of the human brain, so no, you don't have it. Self-diagnosing yourself with it will not make you special either, so just don't say you have it unless you have been actually diagnosed by a licensed psychiatrist.

Nicely said, Ive seen on a few occasions that people do ignorant things, and are about to be punished and they respond "Oh, Dont blame me, i think i have adhd"

I was told I had ADHA when I was a child and took medication for it. You're suppose to grow out of it, I think. However, I still have problems with overly organizing things at times. I'll keep moving things around, over and over as I see things slightly "wrong."

However, its nothing like what I use to do. Everything had to be even. If I touched something with my right hand, I had to touch it with my left hand. Oh wait, I touched it for .23 seconds longer with my left, need to touch it again with my right...oh wait, now my right had .12 seconds longer contact than my left. Need to even that out. I've been on this side of the room for to long. Need to go hang out on the other side of the room. Oh snap, broke a piece of this toy robot off the right...need to destroy the left side to make it look right.

I don't know when I finally grew out of that but I'm so glad I did. It was a horrible curse. I felt compelled to do these things. I HAD to do them. Horrible.

I was also clinically diagnosed with ADHD when I was younger. I took medication for it, although have grown out of them. Even still, I always have energy and get distracted easy, but then again, who doesn't?

Oh shoot, your right. That was my OCD thing. The ADHD is what I took medicine for though. Ritalin. I took it for about 2 years or so if I remember right. Then they told me that the stuff was actually making me worse and took me off of it. Even as a child, I found the irony in that, hilarious.
