World Dueling Academy - The Rules

General Rules:
• Copy the application in the Application section and fill it in.
• If you would like for your character to be related with the characters of other participants, please ask the other character owner first before carrying on.
• Check back later to see if you have been added to the list of accepted characters.
• If your character has been accepted, feel free to post in the role-playing section.
• If your character has not been accepted, revise your character and re-post later after asking an RP moderator what's wrong.

Restrictions:
• You can have only one character.
• You must choose a character that is either an employee for either Laval Lagoon, Boulder Canyon, or Everfrost Peak.
• Your character's age range is from 15-23.
• No orphans.
• Your back story must be logical. Your parents cannot be dolphins or demons, you are not psychic, and you are not a futuristic Tarzan who fights space monkeys on a jet.
• No handicapped characters in any way possible.
• No Mary Sues. If your character is overpowered, we will ask you to tone him or her down.
• No supernatural characters decided by the participants. We'll tell you when can you stick to walls and shoot people in the eye with paste.

• No unusual or super-natural stunts.

• No insulting other characters using mild language. You can use them, but you cannot use them against someone.

• No sex scenes or anything of the sort. We've had that happen at one point.

• Do not fast-forward or rewind the story. Stick to the timeline. If you have a topic you have yet to finish discussing, simply bring it up again with your character.

• Do not post in Dorm sections that you are not part of. You can only do so if you are invited by a friend.

• If you decide to duel people in the RP, simply do so on DN, and try to act out the duel as your characters would if possible. Post the chatbox content here.

• Do not undermine or pester a RP moderator.

• Do not post several times at once or answer people that are not speaking to you. This causes problems with others who wish to enjoy the RP as well. It causes characters to look slow or steals the responses meant to come from others.

• Incredibly short posts are not acceptable and are subject to deletion. You need at the very least one paragraph in your posts.

• Although you are required to post at least one paragraph that does not mean you should start describing everything around you. There is no need to pointlessly describe objects that you don't intend to interact with. Please don't do this.

• If you are caught multi-accounting for the sake of the RP, your second account will be banned and you will receive punishment according to forum rules. You will also lose your rights to participate in the RP.

• We will have three RP days per week. These days will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Everyone can post during these days. You cannot post on any other day.
• For each week, a new topic for each area will be opened for members to post in.
• At the end of the week, the older topic will be locked and left in the respective section to go back to later.
• This is to ensure that in case people do go inactive, the RP can still move on and not be left hanging, killing the RP in the process.
• For specific story arcs, we will be making special requirements for participating in the RP. Make sure you will have enough time for a whole week to be capable of posting in the RP before starting Day 1 of the arc.

• We will be using the Kiddy Pool format. To look at the format, click here.
• You cannot use a deck that is already being used by someone else.
• You must send your deck to an RP moderator for inspection before using it in the RP.
• If your deck is accepted, feel free to enjoy the RP. If your deck is not accepted, amend it or make another deck that is deemed appropriate.
