Blue Storm Dragon, Maelstrom

What makes this card so good? Besides the fact that in his build you can run STANDS :D Yes, you heard me right, Stand Triggers! :D THe reason being is because this deck, more than any, revolve around the number of attacks, and stand triggers you get on a drive check are just a plus, because more likely than not, your opponent isn't going to let Maelstrom's Limit Break go off. After all, why would they want yo to +4 on a turn? But that's not the main point, the point of this Vanguard is scare tactics. The more your opponent guards Maelstrom, the easier it is on your RGs. Becuase Aqua Force units attack for low power, they need all the boosts you can get. 8 stands and 4 draws work perfectly in this deck, yes, you're not going to deal massive damage, but you don't have to. This is a late game deck, once your opponent's hand is chipped away, feel free to let the wind blow all over his face.

Onto play tactics with this card, the way you want your field set up with Maelstrom as your vanguard is A Storm Rider, Basil in the front row, and a Water General of the Wave-Like Spirals, Benedict aside Maelstrom. In your back row you want either a Tear Knight, Valeria or the strongest unit you can find, behind Basil. Behind Maelstrom you want either Battle Siren, Dorothea, or Torpedo Rush Dragon, both offer a considerable 10k or 9k boost respectively, although the requirements are different. You want the strongest booster you can find behind Benedict, preferably an 8k booster. Since Benedict stands himself at a cost of -5000 power, the 8k booster gives him just enough power to hit a crossride.

Attack formation is key in Aqua Force, especially with Maelstrom. You will always attack with Basil 1st, no matter what, his effect won't go off without him being the 1st attacker. Switch him with the card behind him and proceed to attack the Vanguard with a 10k Benedict. Guarded? no problem, stand him again and attack another time, this time, boosted by the unit you have behind him. Just like that we're at 3 attacks, the moment Maelstrom rests, we've reached the requirement for his Limit Break. Go ahead and boost Maelstrom with Dorothea. Since this will be the 4th attack this turn Dorothea becomes a 10k booster, and if you're at 4 damage, that's a 26k attack, opponent perfect guards it? No problem. Go a drive check, any triggers will be placed on Valeria. Get double stands? Go ahead and stand Benedicts row again and attack for another 13k. THen attack with Valeria. Odds are your opponent is going to let Benedict through and block Valeria, but if Valeria gets through, go ahead and retire one of your opponents units. Simple, right?
