Pokemon X and Y at E3; Recap Empty
PostSubject: Pokemon X and Y at E3; Recap   Pokemon X and Y at E3; Recap EmptyFri Jun 07, 2013 8:32 am

With Pokemon X and Y being featured at this year's E3 on June 11th, we can expect more information released about the games (Finally). While we wait for the 90 minute Roundtable on Tuesday, I thought I should give a quick recap of what we know and the rumors going around right now.

-The starters are the Grass type Chespin, the Fire type Fennekin, and the Water type Froakie. When picked, they already know their STAB beginning move. Rumor: Their evolutions are Grass/Dark, Fire/Physic, and Water/Fighting.

-Xerneas is the Mascot for Pokemon X, and Yveltal is the Mascot for Pokemon Y.

-The Pokedex is split into three sections: The Coastal Dex, The Central Dex, and The Mountain Dex. It will be the largest Pokedex released to date. Number of Pokemon are unknown.

-The Region is Kalos, based on France. Only confirmed City is Lumiose City. Routes will once against be reset.

-New Pokemon that have been confirmed so far, other than starters, are: Sylveon (Unknown), Gogoat (Grass), Pancham (Fighting), Helioptile (Electric/Normal), Flechling (Normal/Flying). Legendary Pokemon are Yveltal and Xerneas. Thier types are unknown.

-Mewtwo will get a new form. Rumor: Mewtwo will get one additional form, and it will resemble Mew.

-We now get diagonal movement.

-We can customize our characters.

-Rumor: Some moves are dual typed.

-Rumor: Gogoat is the only Pokemon that you can ride, and only is Lumiose City.

-Rumor: Pancham evolves into Pangoro at level 30 if there's a Dark type in your party. Pangoro's type is Fighting/Dark.

-Rumor: Unconfirmed Pokemon are Psychic-type Cat Pokemon named Espurr evolves into Meowstick.

-Rumor: Another unconfirmed Pokemon is Inkay that evolves into Malimar. To evolve it, you have to hold your 3DS upside-down when it levels up. Malimar's type is Dark/Psychic.

-Rumor: A new type, Fairy, will be making a debut. It's weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, Super Effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and takes half damage from Psychic and Fire type attacks. Sylveon is a rumored Fairy type.

-New moves are Parting Shot that lowers Atk and Sp. Atk before retreating, and Parabolic Charge that inflicts damage and heals the user. It is an electric type attack.

-Rumored moves are Belch, which is a Poison-type attack that has a base power of 120. The user must consume a held Berry to perform it. Draining Kiss is a Fairy-type attack that heals the user for the same amount of damage performed. It has a base power of 60.

-Rumors: The Elite Four will either be Grass, Fire, Water and Electric, OR they will specialize in Atk stats, Def. Stats, HP, and Speed stats. The Champion of both rumors is unknown.

-Rumor: You will be able to see a Pokemon's EVs at a certain in-game facility. You will be able to boost the EVs through mini-games. It will take about two hours to get one stat to max EVs.

-Rumor: The professor's English name is Patrice. A second Professor, named Sycamore, gives you either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.

-Rumor: HMs still exist but there's a lot less of them (Probably Surf, Fly, Strenght, and Cut).

-You can now sit on benches. Possibly the best upgrade so far.

There are many details left to be revealed, and with the Pokemon X and Y getting 90 minutes to talk about the newest features of the games, anticipation is high for new information. Here is a few details that many people hope to hear from the Round Table:

-The reveal of the Starter's Evolutions and types.

-The reveal of Sylveon's type.

-The reveal of Xerneas and Yveltal's types.

-Reveal of new type, Fairy.

-New Pokemon.

-Gyms Types (Please give us a Dark Gym).

-Reveal of Cities.

-More moves.

-Two teams instead of one like Team Magma and Team Aqua (Team X and Team Y?)

-Return of Secret Bases (Too legit).

-More evolutions of previous Pokemon to make them usable (Mawile and Sableye to name a few).

-Retyping of older Pokemon (Clefable to Fairy, Gyarados to Water/Dragon).

-Removal of minigames (Like PokeWood and Pokemon Musical. I never played them, but I will if they improve EVs.).

First bullet: Psychic, not physic

Also, is it supposed to mean "Removal of minigames"?
