In this story, whoever chooses to post, takes the role of "the mysterious voice". your job is to keep the protagonist safe, and help her make the right choices. every time a new room is entered, everything in it is described. you may tell her to examine objects, enter other rooms, or use items in her inventory on other objects or enemies. the actions the protagonist takes will be in order of first to last poster. if an action results in death, we will start from the post before the one resulting in death. (if you have any questions, PM me, skype me, or get my attention on chat.)(protagonist's appearance: https://i.imgur.com/kQ0A01w.png)(things are often hidden, the house is quite large and holds many secrets.)

The sound of thunder shook the large house, waking the girl from her deep sleep.

Dark Haired Girl:*gasp*

She looked around the large room, trying to figure out what is going on, seemingly not having any prior knowledge as what the place is, or how she got there. After sitting there for a few more seconds, she found that she had no idea who she is, beginning to understand that her memory is gone. Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud crash from a distant room, startling her. she threw off her covers and got out of bed, and was surprised to see that she is already dressed, but wasn't able to understand why it felt as if something was missing. she felt the top of her head and decided that she must usually wear a hat. Her thoughts were again interrupted by a loud crash, this time seeming to come from a different room. She then looked around the room, trying to find something to possibly help her protect herself from whatever is making that sound, or possibly to help her find her way around the dark house.

She is in a large room with purple painted walls, a oval shaped, pink carpet on the fly wood floor, a rectangular window on the far wall with the curtains drawn back and the blinds up so she can see outside, a queen sized bed behind her, against the right wall, a dresser and a bookshelf against the left wall, both about 3 feet from each other, near those was a yellow painted door, and a red door nearby, about 6 feet from the foot of her bed on a wall with nothing else on it.

Now is not the time for irrational panic. The girl moves silently around the room searching for tools to help her make way through the strange house. Checking the dresser drawers she manages to find a flashlight of questionable battery length but for the moment it will have to do. The cloudless night leaves plenty of space for the full moon's illumination to move through parts of the home with windows. She uses the flashlight to briefly check under the bed for more supplies, at first glance there is nothing but a small glimmer redirects her attention. What she pulls from under the bed is more than she had hoped for. She pulls a short, thick hatchet from under the bed, the color on it is either that of rust or a questionable material let to think of later. *tap...tap...tap...* repeated taps on the wall can be heard progressing towards her once safe hiding room as well as the sound of something being drug behind it. The girl's options at this point are limited but very clear, Fight or Flight.

Hearing the dragging sound draw ever closer, the girl hears something else, a voice. It seemed to be telling her to check outside the window. Deciding that she had no better options at the moment, she began Trying to move quickly without making any sound, she shuffled over to the window, holding her hatchet close. As she drew near the window, it seemed to darken, and by the time she was a foot from the window, it was completely black. As she tried to shake off the shock of what she had seen, the voice seemed to be telling her to check the dresser. she quickly shuffled over and pulled open the top drawer, she rummaged through the the contents, finding nothing but junk... until she came across a hair pin and a belt. She quickly stuffed the belt into her sleeve, then put the hair pin in her hair. By the time the hair pin was in her hair, she heard the dragging noise, and the tapping stop outside the red door. Realizing she is out of time, she decided it's time to make a decision.

Inventory: Hair pin, Hatchet, leather Belt, Flashlight: battery power-?

Options: Orange Door, Red Door

Take the orange door, fighting whatever's there now or later might not matter, but expanding inventory will increase the chance of survival

the voice from earlier seemed to be telling her to check the bookshelf, despite the impending danger. She decided to defy all logic walk to the book shelf, she managed to pick up one book before the red door was slammed open. She turned around to face the intruder.

Mysterious Creature: about 7 feet tall with shaggy looking green hair, gray, decaying skin, empty eye sockets with a red glow inside, wearing only a loin cloth, holding a large, spiked club in one hand, and lying at it's feet is what seems to have been a person at one point, but it's head is missing, and most of it's skin is gone.

Being gripped by fear, and not wanting this behemoth anywhere near her, she quickly began grabbing and throwing the books from the shelf at the monster, but that only seemed to make it enraged.

She is now in a long hallway, with purple walls, 5 windows, a long, yellow, carpet covering the floor, 3 small shelves holding potted plants, and another orange door straight ahead.

It is presumed that the orange door will lead to wherever that creature came from, which may end up leading to any partners if any, therefore being too risky. It would be best to scoop up some dirt from the plant pots to use as a blinding weapon before setting off through the orange door.

The girl then quickly dashed down the hallway, grabbing a plant out of it's pot, then discarding it, letting it land on the floor next to the desk. she then grabs some of the dirt from the pot and continued down the hallway to the orange door, setting her hatchet down so she can have one hand free, she then opened the door slowly, and carefully, peering through to check inside, there were no obvious threats inside, so she stepped in, leaving the door open behind her as she stepped in, making sure to pick up her hatchet and take it with her.

the new room is a large, office-like room with purple walls and a window on the right wall, and a desk in front of it. there is a leather chair behind the desk, with an arm rest on each side. on the desk is a round object, mostly obscured by a lamp. next to the lamp is a sheet of paper. unfortunately, as far as the desk goes, no other details can be seen because its so dark. from where shes standing, 2 leather couches can be seen side by side on the wall in front of her, and right beside her, where shes standing, theres a desk with 3 doors. theres a strange object on the desk next to her, but its too dark to make out, on the left is a blue door, shes not sure where it leads, but a scraping sound can be heard coming from behind it...

Behind her, she can hear the monster hitting the door with it's club, and she isn't sure how much longer it will last, it sounds like it's cracking from the force of the hits.

Inventory: hatchet, hair pin, Dirt, flashlight: battery life:?, belt

Peek through the keyhole of the blue door. Make sure there is no oncoming threat before deciding to examine the office or leave immediately.

on top of kimo's choices, i would try to block the door behind her with the chair and anything else she could move. I would break the window with the hatchet to make it seem like she escaped through the window (assuming the creature has intelligence....)

after she had moved away from the window, the girl decided to follow the voice's next suggestion, she made her way over to the blue door and peered through the keyhole, trying to ignore the scratching sound moving across the wall in that room.

the room was pitch black, and she couldn't see much of anything. like all the previous rooms, she could make out that the room was quite large, she could also see that there is a bright yellow door, and a white door in that room. the entity making the scratching noise was out of site, but she could hear it moving about. she could also make out 2 objects a short distance from the door, but couldnt make out what they were. anything else in the room was either out of site, or shrouded in darkness.

she stepped back from the door, and instantly started hearing a repeated loud crashing noise behind her, knowing that it was probably the monster pursuing her.

not bad, I'd say a table in front of the door instead of a chair would have done better, but its up to you

she can drop the hacthet first, then move the table.

As for what she should do next. First, which of the doors are supposed to be the way out? If the noise is from behind her, that means the monster isn't in the general area. I'd flee to one of the other doors, and lock the door for the current room, before the monster comes through the window

With the threatening sound of the monster behind her, She should sprint into the room and make a dash for the yellow door in order to attempt to hide from the monster.

Remove the hair pin from the inventory and try to get as much smell on it as possible and put it by the window side, this might throw the creature off for a few seconds. As there will be two directions of the smell.

Following the voice's instructions, and thinking the desk probably isn't good enough, the girl quickly ran over the the desk, and knocked all the things on top of it off, then tried to drag the table over to the door. as the door began to crack and break under the force of the monster's assault, the girl quickly realized how futile it was. there was no way she could move the table at all. just as she had given up, the door splintered into millions of pieces.

Dark Haired Girl: a-ah! no!

before she could run away, the monster grabbed her and threw her across the room, her body crashed into the desk, smashing the lamp, and causing her to fall behind it. despite her pain, the girl got up as fast as she could and ran for the nearest exit, the window. she jumped out the window, bracing herself to possibly plunge to her death, but a strong arm caught her by the leg, and pulled her back into the house, smashing her onto the floor, knocking the wind out of her. dazed and confused, she looked up and through the tears in her eyes, she could a club being swung down on her, smashing her skull and body. then darkness.

Deciding that the voice is right, maybe she can take whatever is in the other room by surprise, and make a break for the yellow door, maybe she can lose both monsters. the girl ran to the yellow door and pulled it open... or attempted to, as the door was locked.

she then ran over to the window, and removed the hair pin, then ran it through her hair a few times, and placed it on the window sill, hoping the monster relied on smell, then ran over and hid behind the desk. as soon as she was under the desk, she heard the monster break into the room, roaring, and stomping. it grunted then took 2 or 3 steps towards the window, and sniffed at the air... the gil quickly stood up and threw the paper weight, hitting the monster right in the temple, causing it to roar in what she assumed was pain, she then jumped up on the desk and threw the dirt at the monster's eyes. the monster dropped it's club and stumbled around, rubbing it's eyes. the girl jumped off the table, and slid across the floor, holding her hatchet tight, sliding between the monster's legs, she then spun around and slashed each of the monster's Achilles tendons, then watching the monster fall to it's knees, roaring in pain and agony, the monster finally got the dirt out of it's eyes, the girl then jammed the hatchet blade into the back of the monster's head, ending silencing it instantly.

the monster's corpse now lies in the middle of the floor with the hatchet buried deep into the back of it's head.

If possible take the hatchet back but if you cannot pull it from the monsters head see if you can take his club. You'll need something to defend yourself from possible dangers in the future.

It's not easy for a girl like her to maneuver so quick and sleek like that. One would assume that she is no ordinary girl, and has had athletic training at one long point in her life. This should be put in mind as her athletic stature may or may not come in handy, and it would be wise to contemplate this fact later on; perhaps it could give a clue, or even a deep insight, into her past. It would additionally be wise to listen to the previous two spirits before me.

Doing as she is told, the girl walked over to the monster's body and grabbed the hatchet. pulling with all her might, the hatchet didn't budge at all. after thinking for a brief moment, she planted her foot on the monster's head and grabbed the hatchet again, this time pushing with her foot while pulling with her hands... after pulling for a short while, the handle broke off the hatchet. looking at the hatchet handle briefly... she added it to her inventory. after taking the hatchet handle, she walked over to the monster's giant club. staring down at it, and thinking... the club had to be at least 4 foot long... she grabbed the handle firmly and tried to lift it, to no avail. after lifting it failed, she tried to drag it, managing to move it a few feet across the floor, she decided that it would so her down too much, and wouldnt be usable in battle even if she took it.

Considering this possibility, she decided that the voice is right, the movements felt way too natural to be the first time she had done something like that. trying to rack her brain for information about this, she found nothing. she decided she would need more information about whats going in order to figure out more about herself.

she then noticed that the room wasn't how she left it... behind the bed, there was now a green door, and there were now 2 objects on top of the book shelf, but she couldn't tell what they were because its so dark.  there was also something different about the dresser, but she couldn't remember what it looked like before. lastly, in the center of the room, on the carpet was an odd object rocking back and forth, though clearly inanimate.

If the room had changed, it is possible that some of the objects are still in the room but are out of sight. Check under the carpet, the bed, and behind the dresser.
