Yeah, forget it now. This does not reverse the rules that we were given by Kevin Tewart because Shonen Jump and Shueisha has the rights to the Yugioh media, that doesnt mean it is the superior authority of the yugioh card game and has nothing to do with its rulings therefore it is not an official rule source. What is an official source is the R&D department of which Kevin Tewart happens to be the boss. See, this is how things are: If national television, your country's law system and God all give you a Yugioh ruling and then Kevin Tewart gives you a different ruling, you are going with what kevin tewart said. If you get an official ruling it only overrides what he said because he is the one that released it, and newer word of Kevin Tewart > old word of Kevin Tewart.

So what you do is: ignore this vague statement of a magazine that has nothing to do with the Yugioh TCG other than using its promos to boost its sales and advertising (it even says 'techincally "not on the field"" which is no part of a concrete ruling I've heard of) and go by what the man who is the TCG said while waiting on an official ruling on the yugioh site because an official ruling (or word that is approved by him) is the only thing that can override him.

I'll also tell you before you make assumptions that the judge forum says nothing about it neither konami officials have given new word, and there was no update on the website, and no, its not that hard to type a ruling on the website. This was all the magazine's word and no one else's.

Kevin Tewart is the person who makes,changes and screws the rules,his word is all encompassing and tengu xyz spam is still viable.

So dont take shonen jump's advice for anything.
