| V-7, or the Rose Virus, is a imaginary super virus used in my series. Mentioned in Requiem (final book), Arthur confides in his closest soldiers (Alexander, Hans, and Jack) that he acquired a powerful new virus. This virus was engineered to attack cancer cells as a 'cure'. However, the virus never stopped at the cancer cells and continued killing all the cells in the host. The Zugzwang stole all vials containing the virus and the newly developed cure and planned to use it in bio terrorism against the United States and opposing countries.
The virus works in seven stages and takes approximately seven days to kill.
Stage One: Primary Infection
The Rose Virus spreads via bodily fluid. Blood, saliva, and sperm are the primary ways to infect the host. Host does not immediately display signs of infection.
Stage Two: Infection Spreads
The Rose Virus spreads to every cell in the human body. Process takes approximately 2-4 days to complete. Host begins to show signs of infection.
Stage Three: First Symptoms
After the 4 day mark, the host begins to show symptoms of infection. Fever, headaches, chest pain, vomiting, and high blood pressure.
Stage Four: Second Symptoms
Around the 5-6 day mark, host begins to suffer more intense symptoms. Blood clots, irregular heart rhythm, vomiting blood, delirium and hallucinations, calcium depletion, loss in motor function, blurred vision, loss in taste, hearing loss, nail loss, hair loss, and severe weight loss.
Stage Five: Third Symptoms
Twelve hours after second stage, the virus prevents cell reproduction entirely. Causes blindness, deafness, unable to feel, severe skin damage, severe organ damage, Bleeding from mouth, nose, eyes, ears, anus, and genitals. Bones are easily breakable.
Stage Six: Fourth Symptoms
One to twelve hours after third symptoms, fourth round of symptoms occur. Severe organ failure and blood clots.
Stage Seven: Death
Host dies from severe damage to body. Host's body decays at a much faster rate. Reports of virus infecting others after the death of the host. Cremation is recommended.

| First of all, I recommend a name change for the virus. Try defining it using Latin terms, like Caecus interfectorem for instance. Caecus = blind, interfectorem = killer. Blind because it attacks body cells indiscriminately, and killer is because of its job. If you want to keep Rose as a name, perhaps you could use it as a nickname with the scientific name being a jumble of two Latin words of your own choosing. Don't be like lame ol' Capcom picking a retarded unrealistic name to identify a virus in their own Resident Evil games. | |

| @ Unknown: If you would read the books, you would find out now, would ya?
@ Kimo: Yes, the Rose Virus is a nickname, given by Arthur for his wife, who's middle name is Rose. I have yet to make a Latin name.
