This rule update overrides previous rules contradicting these.
Duels for lives and skirmishes are no longer posted in separate duel arena topics, but in their respective tournament topics instead.
Participants use 1 post in which they include
A. All their wins and loses in the tournament, including the scores (edit your topics to include them in the same post) and the usernames of their opponents.
B. Their Rank Points as they appear on their profile at the moment the post was originally made.
If the participants are unable to do that, the Tournament Organizer is to include that information instead in the original post of the topic. The tournament organizer may pass that responsibility to a section mod or administrator, if they agree. If there is a challonge topic and it is kept updated, the Tournament Organizer may do that simply by putting the rank points value of the participants next to their username in the challonge brackets instead of using the original post.
For duel arena section mods awarding the duels, the rank points used to figure the rank level of the participant when awarding the duels won in the tournament, are always the registered rank points in the post (meaning the rank points they had when they entered the tournament), even if the results of the duels of the same tournament alter their actual rank points.
For example. Me, digi, rjuto and fish enter a 4 person live tournament.
Fish enters with 0 rank points and wins first a match against digi, then a match against rjuto. From his match with digi, he gains 48 rank points, and now has 48 rank points total. When calculating the rank points he would gain for his victory against rjuto, his initial 0 rank points which appear on the post would be considered, meaning he will be awarded as the rank 1 player he entered as, regardless of his current rank points.
That system is implemented to make awarding the duels simpler, since they are all in the same place and the rank points to consider are not altered in the middle of awarding them.
