Does Slaine die in this one? Hopefully Slaine dies in this one. I think it would go a long way towards fixing this series. Specifically, such a joyous development would probably make the viewers more willing to ignore many things that are wrong with this series. Which makes things sorta better. So it's a fix. Of sorts.
