Akiba Strip: Looks a bit different from the game? I dunno, could be interesting if they don't just adapt the game one-on-one. Gonna try it just for that alone.
Ao no Exorcist: Will need to rewatch but I remember enjoying it. Definitely trying this out.
BanG Dream: I keep seeing ads for this thing everywhere in Tokyo holy shit. They're going all out in the advertisements for this and that's really not a good sign. Probably shit.
Chaos;child: Yes you need to read the chaos;head VN for this, it's a sequel. I havent played it myself(cuz no tl) but there's no way they can do this in one cour and be good. Not hopeful but at least I'll try it. ' Fuuka: Fuck you Seo.
Maidragon: It's nice the artstyle is different for once. Gonna try but I sure hope it's not another Phantom World.
Konosuba 2: More megumeme is goooooood
Kuzu no Honkai: This shit is p' lewd yuri as far as I know. Definitely trying.
Seiren: Hopefully AOTS. Amagami spiritual successor holy shit. Although the character designs have me a bit skeptical, idk.
Rakugo 2: More rakugo is goooooood
Yojou Senki: Hear lots of praise for the LN, gonna try but won't expect too much out of a LN adaptation

I'm probably going to watch old shows this season too but I'm definitely excited for Little Witch Academia (as Nour very well knows). I liked both OVAs and while they weren't necessarily mind-blowing, they were charming enough with its cute cast of characters and stellar animation. It's also a TRIGGER show and I definitely love this studio (I seriously need to watch that other Trigger show that aired alongside Luluco).
Subject: Re: Winter Anime 2017 - It's Not That Cool Fri Jan 13, 2017 6:03 pm
Shameless plug time, because I thought a long time on what my impressions were on a lot of these and would be writing a book if I just... posted the script... made a first impressions video of like 8 of these and plan on watching the first episode of all of them.
https://vid.me/KoL5
It's on a weird website because trying to upload it to Youtube immediately put my account into a copyright battle. .-.
Some tl and dr; Demi-chan, ACCA and Chain Chronicle in that order are so far my favorites... everything else is anywhere from barely above meh to absolutely terrible. Demi-chan has been the only thing that struck me as "must finish" worthy.
Subject: Re: Winter Anime 2017 - It's Not That Cool Thu Feb 02, 2017 10:45 am
DOOOUBLE POST AND I DON'T CARE.
OKAY, now that I've actually watched EVERYTHING this season that isn't a 2nd season or short...
Little Witch Academia, Demi-chan, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maidragon, Masamune-kun no Revenge and Youjo Senki I'm all finding turbo good and will probably finish unless they crash and burn.
ACCA, Urara Meirochou, Chaos;Child, BanG Dream and Seiren are all neat enough and I want to try to follow them but I wouldn't be surprised if I dropped any of these along the way.
Everything else ranged from not my speed, not good enough to be worth the time I'd put into it, to terrible... I hated Fuuka for some reason and Kenomo Friends was just bad... on the list of just bad, I kind of want to watch more Hand Shakers because I'm convinced they don't even know what they're doing and I want to see how much sillier it gets. It's mystifying.
Subject: Re: Winter Anime 2017 - It's Not That Cool Thu Feb 16, 2017 1:12 am
I tried a bit of Gabriel Dropout and I want to know if I'm the only one who's getting triggered by its joke in the very first episode.
Like at the beginning they have this angel who's a perfect angel and after playing an MMO she turns into a lazy ass NEET. I get it, that's the joke, angel becomes corrupted by shitty microtransactions. But then they reveal this happened in a single night. And it's not just her becoming lazier and trashier, it's a pretty fucking extreme change like she was always a trashy person and it just broke what little immersion I had into this show and the rest of the episode just wasn't able to get rid of that nagging feeling I had. The devil who checks up on her often acts surprised but not too surprised by the change, and the other angel introduced late in the episode doesn't seem to be surprised at all even though they were classmates from the MC's perfect little angel days.
Like if they changed 'a day' to like, two weeks or a month I wouldn't be bothered at all. I dunno.
Also Rakugo is AOTS, Konosuba is great, Kuzu is trash, Gundam is getting amazing and I guess that's all I care about this season.
