This is really fun. I'm reeeaaally tempted to get more "allies" (I ran out of quartz on F/GO, so...) but I also need to upgrade the castle for more %EXP forever... dammit.

So I struggled with the phone being a phone and wifi being wifi and emulators being emulators, until I settled into my line of thinking fully: You know what, no. There is no reason to put up with phones, and really, I am kinda glad they are a massive pain in the ass, because they convinced me. I could be playing a real fire emblem game. In fact, I could be playing any other fire emblem game, there are great emulators for all of them, working on linux (except the 3ds ones, which have emulators, just not great ones). You people playing fate, I kinda get, it's a visual novel/anime/whatever series so it gets a mobage, fine, granted. But the fire emblem series is a series of games! Good games at that! All of them are better than this and most of them are easily accessible for anyone with a functional computer, so wtf are you doing? You can take your peer pressure and shove it up yours guys, I'm out of this shit.

I am moderately unimpressed because I could be playing a real Fire Emblem game, or one of the many tactical role-playing games out there and it would have more depth... but none of them are on a phone so I'll probably be playing this silly Skinner box occasionally when I find myself without a laptop, 3DS or Shadowverse quests.

Will post friend code when I can be f'd to charge my phone.

Like, that's a valid reason to not enjoy the game but it's a gacha-based phone game, it's never had much of a pretense of being an actually challenging game as much as a time-waster. The appeal of this and actual FE games are not really the same.

Well all that aside, I was about to reroll when I miraculously got two five stars and a four-star Roy. Guess I'll keep this account for a while.

For what it's worth, it's proving to be a pretty neat little waifu collector. I just have a history with gacha games and I don't have a very good opinion of the business model to say the least... even if Nintendo is executing it very fairly.

Maybe there's a potential max that's achieved by merging...? That's the only reason why I would expect there to be stat bonuses on merging same star characters.

apparently there are 5 stars without an animation

I meant as in the animation is different for 4 stars and above, the stone makes a thud and the dusts spread out in a circle before the rock flash and beams with light.
I watched everyone, 4 4 stars and above, 0 5 star/s.

Of the 5*s I've gotten, not all of them had an animation at all... in fact, a ton of them don't. I think you're right on the flash of beams thing though.
