Robo.... you've given the guy the OTK for when order of chaos comes out... However did you want your deck for GENF and PHSW sets or for all of WDA?

If so then, this is what IM playing for the next set.

CORE - Always put these in your wind-up deck

i was hoping you wuld make a post here you seem to be like to wind-up expert XD

AND WHY ARE YOU NOT RUNNING RAT it lead's with dog or rabbit to zenmaighty for even more xyz spam i twice did a 5 monster card field fill with able to do more if i had 7 monster's allowed T_T

2 zenmaister (way more powerful than you think if you use wind up knight ((SIDE WIND UP KNIGHT)) Or dont,cuz he sucks and so does zenmaister for needing you to wait a turn for reactivation,almost unusable after ORCS.

Paradox, roro is talking about irl wind-ups for some god forsaken reason (I mean it has no relevance whatsoever but idk...), do not apply irl advice on DN, the difference between irl wind-ups and DN wind-ups is about 3 tiers, you are killing your deck.

his initial build had rat, it should be logical to say we are not to assume a build is irl unless specifically told, considering this is online and the majority of people here are not playing irl.

I'm sorry to all the people who want to get emotional over their old wind-ups or expert-y about them or those that want to tell to all the top tier dudes who are now getting them because they became OP that there is more to wind-up than that, but the only core wind-up cards in top tier wind-ups now are rat, hunter and zenmaighty and out of wind-up you need the tour guide engine in the deck. If you want to make it pure wind-up that's your call and then on the specific pure wind-up build I am sure there are again recommended cards like there are in all specific decks, but once you realize you dont have to use every friggin card with wind-up in its name there are several ways you can follow

1: Go pure wind-up again I guess, so long as you realize your goals and core engine. Pure wind-up from my experience consists of getting magician + rat on the field to otk/produce massive advantage. Keep in mind that the ones below are much more consistent and much easier to use, magician-rat builds have variations of extremely complicated combos.

2: Keep the core, add a couple of lv3s or ways to get hunter in grave to make rat more consistent and then just add good techs all over the TCG way to fill the void. Keep in mind that both in this and the one below factory is NOT an auto-include, if you get one rat effect off you may as well go in a loop that leaves you with only 2-3 teched in wind-ups in your deck that might as well be useless, so factory isnt that useful there. I mean if the only wind-ups left in your deck every time you get a rat down is 2 rabbits or a hunter, why would you need factory.

3. Make a hybrid using the compact core engine and another archtype/decktype that works well with it, like T.G. (Tour guide + Warwolf gives a hunter loop without actually needing hunter in grave).

Yes guys, I know that your childhood dreams when you were playing freely with your wind-ups, rolling together in the open fields, were not like this, but what can you do, those got competitive now, and yes you can yell that's not wind-ups, but the core engine all has wind-up in its name so it would be a lie.

PS: Has anyone ever gotten out 2 zenmaines throughout a duel (in order to need 2 in extra) without it being just for fun but his/her best option available? I never got out 1, let alone 2. I mean when you are on the offensive ofc it will be useless and when you are on the defensive I prefer an acid golem to get on the offensive. I'm sure there are situations where it will prove useful but they should be rare enough to not occur twice in the same game.
