| Role-playing Rules
Decks
• Each character can choose a deck type, no one else is allowed to choose that deck style. First come first serve. If you change decktypes, your previous decktype becomes open. One deck per character.
• No Exodia decks.
• Advanced Format only.
• You can only have cards in your deck that are apart of the deck type, for example if you choose to have a Flamvell deck, then your monsters must all be Flamvell cards. It can either be an archtype or a type. Exceptions to this rule are as follows:
- Spells and Traps
- "Gorz the Emmissary of Darkness"
- "Tragoedia"
- "Effect Veiler"
- "Battle Fader"
- "D.D. Crow"
- "Maxx "C""
- 3 Slots in your Extra Deck (3 XYZ/Synchro/Fusion cards of your choice)
- Non-Archetype Support (Recruiters and Searchers, e.g. Shining Angel in an Arcana Force deck)
• You can make your own hybrid decks (combination of 2 types/archtypes), however, make sure that actually is a hybrid deck. Two new cards do not make a deck a hybrid archetype deck.
• You must send your deck list and type to Fish and get his approval before you can join the RP.
• You may be asked to modify your deck for a variety of reasons, which will be explained to you if you are asked.
Storyline
• There is no main character or villain, the Role-play Moderators will decide where the storyline twist or change will be, and they will contact people to fit storylines.
• The Role-play area of Duelist Empire is also the boundary of it, you cannot role-play an action that takes place outside of the RP Section or outside of the set RP Locations.
• What happens in the Role-playing section stays in the role-playing section, do not drag it your drama on who slept with your wife into the rest of the forum where nobody cares, or you'll get a visit from the warning trumpet and ban hammer.
• Don't god-mode. If your character has no way of knowing something do no sit there and post that they suddenly figured things out just because you read the thought part of someone's characters or their speech part when you weren't even there. If your character didn't hear it then they have no way of knowing what happened so don't post about it. Also, you can't be in two different areas at the same time. The island is huge, and you don't have doppelgangers to do your bidding.
• Supernatural powers and objects (etc) will only be given out as temporary parts of storylines to a select few characters (mainly the bad guys), after that part of the story is over they lose those supernatural things. This means that although your characters might be experienced rock climbers they can't scale a building, they can't run across roofs like a parkour, and they can't build duel runners if they've not been invented yet. These things may come and go with the storyline, but they're not gonna happen because your RP characters just aren't that awesome.
Posting
• All Role-playing posts must be longer than 35 words. We'll be quite relaxed on this rule, but when you start posting 10-word-posts, it's taking the piss a bit.
• Role-playing Moderators will, obviously, moderate posts made. They can remove posts that break rules or show someone trying to take over a storyline that does not involve them as much.
• All posts must still follow all WDA rules.
Dueling
• Duels are to be done on a dueling system.
• During a duel you are to act and speak like a duelist and then copy and paste the text from the duel chat into your next post as a spoiler.
• All Roleplay duels are single duels. Due to this, side decks are pretty much useless.
Failure to comply with these rules can result in WDA strikes against your name, being banned or kicked from RPing in that storyline, or being banned or kicked from the RP in general. But most cases won't be that bad, if there are any cases at all.
