| Hey y'all! Some of you might remember this from the OLD ToonWorldAcademy. I thought I'd excavate it and repost it on here. Since my other chapters are on my forever deceased iPod, I get to rediscover the joy of writing it again! :D Well... Here y'all go! Rated: PG Author: Wynchester Genre: Fan-Fiction Special thanks too: TWA Friends & Family Yu-Gi-Oh Card Maker Konami Ryan (TWA) for the general set up of this page Key: *example* = action example = narration Name: Example = speech (Example) = group action or multiple/ling action(s) Main Protagonists: Name: Tyler Johnson Age: 15 Deck: Inferno Bio-Card: Tyler, Child of the Inferno Name: Michelle O'Donnell Age: 16 Deck: Angels and Demons Bio-Card: Michelle, Angel of the Cards Main Antagonists: Name: Samuel Age: 16 Deck: Ice Palace First Appearance: Chapter 1 Other Characters: Name: Professor Cedrick Age: 52 Deck: N/A Purpose: Michelle's uncle, Gives Michelle and Tyler the first 2 Bio-Cards and gives them their own holographic projector Duel Disks. Other purposes yet to be decided upon. First Appearance: Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 1:
Tyler: I attack you directly with “Leila, The Silver Tiger” causing 600 points of damage. And that’s game. Samuel: One more duel, please. Tyler: Give it up man, that’s seven duels in a row. You haven’t won yet. It’s getting pathetic. Michelle: Actually, Ty, it got pathetic after duel number 3. How about I duel you Samuel? You might win. *winks* Tyler: Don’t do it man. She can beat me in two turns. You don’t stand a chance. She runs an A&D deck. Samuel: A&D? Michelle: It’s Angels and Demons. It’s not that great. Samuel: Sure. I’ll duel you… I’ll change my deck for this one. Michelle: Let’s duel. * * *
Michelle = 8000 Life Points Samuel = 8000 Life Points Michelle: I’ll start this duel off. *Draws* I activate the field card “World of Angels”, place three cards face-down, and summon “Uriel, September’s Angel”I have 5 cards on my side of the field increasing Uriel’s ATK by 1000. Also, WOA increases Uriel’s attack by 500 because Uriel’s a Winged Beast and because of his second ability. That brings him up to 2900. Now I activate my first two face-downs: “Black Pendant” and “Angel’s Retribution”. I got to have some insurance. *laughs* “Black Pendant” (Equip Spell; Effect: Increase the ATK of one monster by 500. If this card is destroyed, inflict 500 points of Direct Damage to your opponent’s Life Points.)Now I destroy my “Angel’s Retribution” with the MST in my hand causing you 3400 damage and leaving Uriel with 2700 attack power. “Mystical Space Tycoon” (Quick-Play Spell; Effect: Destroy one spell or trap card on the field.)I end my turn. Michelle = 8000 Samuel = 4600 Samuel: I thought you’d never shut up! Gosh. I draw. *draws* Tyler: Don’t get upset with her cause you’re losing. Samuel: I can get upset with whoever I want to. Michelle: Somebody’s cranky. *laughs again* Samuel: I activate “Card Destruction” destroying the cards in my hand and allowing me to draw five more cards. Of course you also would have to discard, but you have no cards. “Card Destruction” (Spell; Effect: Discard all cards in each players hand and each player draws cards equal to the number they discarded.)I place 1 card face-down and activate “Monster Revival” which brings back up to three monsters level four or lower to my side of the field and summon or set them. The only catch is, I have to show you them and they are unable to attack. *picks the top three cards out of his graveyard* “Monster Revival”
I summon “Cassandra, The Ice Queen”, “Broken Palace”, and “Palace Guard”.
I now Tribute “Broken Palace” and “Palace Guard” to summon “Ice Palace” and “Ice Palace Guard” from my deck. *puts Tributed cards in the Graveyard and searches the Deck*
I shuffle. *shuffles* Tyler: You really shouldn’t have done that. Samuel: And why not? Michelle: Pretty. I activate my face-down “Guardian Angel”. This card makes all your cards have 0 attack and have to stay in face-up attack mode. Also it makes the turn change to be my turn.
Michelle = 8000 Samuel = 4600
Field: Michelle (“Uriel, September’s Angel”, “World of Angels”, “Black Pendant”, and “Guardian Angel”) Samuel (“Ice Palace”, “Ice Palace Guard”, “Cassandra, the Ice Queen”, and Face-Down)
Samuel: Crap! Michelle: My turn. *draws and smiles* I activate "Angel's Triple Strike" which allows me to attack you with my Uriel three times. And that’s game. *laughs* So long Samuel.
//URIEL/ 4/4000/3000//
Samuel: I can’t believe I lost to a girl. How’d that happen? Tyler: You’re an awful duelist, dude. What’d you expect to happen? Samuel: I will beat both of you. Soon.
- CHAPTER 2:
Previously, Michelle and Tyler had duelled against a guy named Samuel at their school. These duels occured with cards only. No duel disk. No holograms. Michelle and Tyler are currently walking to Michelle's uncle's (Proffessor Cedric) laboratory in response to a mysterious text message Michelle received from the proffessor. But first they grabbed some dinner since it was already 7:30 PM. The night turned dark at 5:30 tonight. So the duo is following the glow from the street lights as they walk to the lab. Tyler is carrying a box of pizza he had bought right before he and Michelle left Barry's Pizza. * * *
Tyler: So what did the proffessor say in the message? Michelle: nothing really. Just this…
*Michelle and Tyler stop so that Michelle can pull out her phone. The text reads…*
Text Message: Michelle, grab Tyler and get here in two hours.
Tyler: What do you think he wants us for? Another round of testing? Michelle: I'm not sure. It can't be for testing reasons. We were told we were no longer needed to test the holographic projectors. They were nearly finished. Tyler: *resuming walk and pulling a piece of pizza out of the box* then what could it be? Michelle: I don't know. We could be there right now, but you had to spend the cab money on a large pizza and a 2 liter of pop. Tyler: Hey, I was hungry! Michelle: You're always hungry. Tyler: You'd think I murdered someone. Geez. Just bill me. Michelle: *Teasingly* Oh I will. *The duo are being followed by a shaded figure. Who he is, is unknown. Even though she looks around and sees no one acting wierd, Michelle realizes something is up.* Michelle: *whispering into Tyler's ear so no one can here her* Ty? How much do we have left? Tyler: How much? *opens lid and counts* 'Bout 5 pieces after this one. Why? Michelle: I'd feel safer taking a cab ri… *In a shout* Not pizza! *smacks the back of Tyler's head* *quieting because people are looking at them* How much money? Tyler: *rubbing the back of his head* Ow! We have $5.37. Why don't you feel safe? Michelle: I don't know. Let's just take a cab and ask Uncle Cedric to pay the rest of the tab. *Michelle and Tyler flag down a cab and start towards Proffessor Cedric's lab* * * *
Once Michelle and Tyler get to the proffessor's lab, they realize something isn't right. They run inside with a different shadowy figure tracking them. They run around leaving a frustrated cab driver in the car. The duo end up finding the proffessor knocked out on the floor by his computer. Michelle: *scared* UNCLE CEDRIC!!!! Tyler: *checks the proffessor's pulse and breathing rate* *dialing 911* Quick, Michelle, he isn't breathing! You need to perform CPR! *to phone* Come on, someone pick up! *redials*
Opperator: Hello, you have reached Shady Grove's Emergency Hotline. What is your emergency?
Tyler: Um, my friend's uncle is knocked out and not breathing. My friend is performing CPR on him right now. *to Michelle* How you doing Michelle? Michelle: He is breathing again, but he is still out cold. Tyler: *to Operator* He's breathing again, but still out. Send help!
Operator: What is your location?
Tyler: We're in the old laboratory on the corner of… um, Fifth and Main?
Operator: Do you mean Shady Grove's Gray Card Memorial Lab? On Fifteenth and Main? The one owned by Mr. Maximillian Pegasus? The one that works on Duel Monsters? *to self* Why they need a lab for making a bunch of cards Lord only knows.
Tyler That's it! Get here quick! (A heart beat only is heard as what happens next occurs. Michelle is sitiing on the ground holding her uncle tight. Tyler, in turn, is kneeling with an arm around Michelle's shoulders. Proffessor Cedric floats in and out of consciousness. He's out when the paramedics and police arrive. Michelle, Tyler, and the proffessor are put in the back of the ambulance and are driven to a large hospital with a sign that reads, "Pegasus Hospital". The group are rushed into the hospital. Proffessor Cedric is taken into the Emergency Room while Michelle and Tyler are asked to remain in the waiting room. Sound slowly returns.) Nurse: I'm sorry, but could you two please tell this officer what happened? Tyler: Michelle, sit down. I'll take care of this. *Michelle simply nods* *A beautiful girl no older than 20 wearing the Shady Grove City Police ladies uniform (a white tee shirt, blue police vest, skirt, black sash with white print saying "POLICE", and a blue hat) walks out from behind the nurse holding a clipboard in her hands.* Officer: Hello, I am sorry, but I need to fill out a report because it appears that Proffessor Cedric Robertson was knocked unconscious by a blunt force to the back of the head. Was anyone else there when you two arrived? Tyler: No M'am. Officer: What reason were you two there at the lab? Tyler: Michelle? *Michelle gives Tyler her phone. Tyler finds the text and hands it to the officer.* Officer: Oh I see. Did you find out why the proffessor called for you? Tyler: No M'am. Officer: When did he send you the text message? Tyler: *pointing to the time the text was received* 4:36 PM Sir... err... Mam... uh....... Officer: Where were you when you got the text message and what did you do after the text message arrived? Tyler: I was dueling a kid named Samuel. Michelle was watching. Then we switched; she dueled and I watched. We both beat him. After that we got some pizza, walked part way to the lab, then took a cab the rest of the way. Officer: Do either of you or the proffessor have any enemies? Michelle: My uncle has no way to make enemies. He stays in the lab all day and has a cot set up to sleep there. He doesn't go out unless he has to. The only people to see him are us, coworkers, and family who drop in on him for his birthday or a holiday. *Michelle starts crying again* Tyler: *Sitting by Michelle holding her hands* Does it seem like he will be fine, Officer? Officer: Right now, Proffessor Cedric's condition is unknown he was cut off from oxygen for a while. He typically would be dead by now, but he's still in there fighting. That's enough questions. I may have more questions for you later. Please fill out these contact forms so we can get in touch with you. *Tyler fills out his and Michelle's forms and hands them back to the officer* Tyler: Wait, what about the cab driver? We still owe him for the ride. Officer: I'm sorry. But there weren't any vehicles there at all. Looks like you get a free ride. *winks at Tyler* I'm Karlie Sanders by the way. Here's my number if you ever need to talk. *writes number down and gives to Tyler* Oh, and quit calling me "M'am". Tyler: All right, M'am... I mean Karlie. *to Michelle while Karlie leaves* Do you want to see the proffessor? Michelle: Yes please. (Tyler and Michelle walk up to the nurse leaving Proffessor Cedric's room and ask if they can see him. The nurse lets them in allowing them 15 minutes to see the proffessor.) * * *
Michelle: Uncle Cedric? Are you awake? Cedric: *speaking softly with difficulty and discomfort* Michelle? Is that you? Michelle: I'm here. I have Tyler with me. Tyler: Hello again Proffessor C. How are you feeling? Cedric: Like I was hit from behind by a rabid keyboard. I'm getting to old to do this again. Michelle and Tyler: Again? Cedric: When I was younger, people kept knocking me out to steal things I built so they could get fame. *shakes head and starts coughing in the respirator* *Michelle and Tyler look at each other for a moment slightly surprised* Cedric: *speaking louder, easier, and less uncomfortably but still softly and slower now* That reminds me. I wanted to see you two. It's about the testing I've had you do over the years. Tyler: *to Michelle* Told you it was about the duel disks. Cedric: Sort of. We never needed the duel disks tested. We had bio-chemical sensors in the duel disks that monitored your vitals as you two dueled. Also, your decks retain similar properties. We made some of your cards weak to see how the bio-tempured cards react to them. Michelle: Say what? Cedric: We weren't testing the duel disks. They were fine. We, the other scientists and I, wanted to test cards that you two created. Not like Mr. Pegasus had made the cards but when you were really young, you drew a lot. We took the drawings that held your fingerprints and DNA to turn them into cards. The cards remained blank however except for the images of the cards. We put them and some weak cards built by us into a deck and gave you them to test with. Once you held the cards, they started changing. The images were no longer the drawings you two made as Kindergardeners and first-graders. They became the exact pictures you had in your mind when you drew them. However, the cards you had drawn overcompensated for the weaker cards we made and became top powerful. Hence the reason why we had to stop the experiments. We found your deck would literally stack itself so that the weaker cards were placed at the bottom of the deck. Also, certain emotions caused certain cards to be drawn. However, your vitals spike in doing so. You two got too hot for our computers to handle during your last duel a few years back. We had to figure out how to fix your decks to make them more reasonable. And we did. But that isn't why I called for you. Michelle: Then what is? Tyler: Is that why Michelle's Demon half of her deck doesn't get drawn much? Cedric: Sort of. She had made all but 15 of her cards. The demon cards were her own. We noticed something interesting though. She would get angry or ticked off and a demon card would emerge on top of her deck that would help out in the duel situation or it would be surrounded by more demon cards. When she is calm or happy or even sad, she would draw more angels. Tyler: How many of my cards did I make? Cedric: Twenty-two exactly. And you have the more reasonable of the decks. When you win, it's because you're a better duelist. Michelle has the better cards, however. No offense dear. Michelle: You just insulted my dueling ability. *sarcastically* Why would I take offense to that? Tyler: Geez. Cool down. *To Proffessor Cedric* Why again did you want us? Cedric: *Talking a little louder and sitting up facing Michelle and Tyler* I have developed the first in a long line of bio-cards that make your old decks obsolete. They appear to look like blank green and red cards. You know, for Chrismas yesterday. *episode pauses*
Wynchester: Sorry, everyone. This was supposed to be up in time for the holidays so it's a little late. This story all starts on December 26 so yeah.
*episode resumes*
Cedric: Merry Christmas. They will be wrapped in snowflake wrapping paper on top of two skin colored gloves. Both gloves are for your right hands. They are duel disks. They're designed to activate by the touch of a deck on their tops. Although they appear to be gloves, they are not all they seem. When activated, the material expands and changes to a silver color which you can change by touching one of the small, clear gems and saying what color you want. Once it hears your voice, no one else can even activate it. It is equiped to duplicate any technology you sync it with. That means you can sync your phones and MP3s and it will be able to make calls and play music. Just press the button that goes with the device. For calling somebody, press the phone. Listen to any music from anywhere, tap the music note. It will all be fairly straightforward to use. The duel disks are also able to project holographic images of the cards and other things. Tyler: Sweet! Michelle: *Hugging her uncle* Thanks Uncle Cedric! Tyler: *rolls eyes* Women. Upset one moment with you. The next hugging you. *laughs as Michelle shoots him a sharp glance* Cedric: One last thing. Under no circumstance should you activate the duel disk and use a newly installed application until after it has been shut down for at least an hour after each app was added. It will cause an overload. My team and I are working on fixing that bug. You may add multiple apps at once, but you can't do anything with the new apps until the duel disk had a chance to adjust itself. Try installing different machines and see the results. Tyler: What about the person who knocked you out? Cedric: What about them? Tyler: What if he's still there and was going for the cards or duel disks? Cedric: In that situation, go to my desk and pull the top two and bottom two drawers open at the exact same time in order to find three more duel disks and three more bio cards. These cards will standard orange and brown on both sides. Both of you take one of each and leave the third. In case the thief is still their, leave right after you get your gifts. Don't confront him. Come visit me here in the morning. When you get your gifts. This way I can see your bio cards. They are designed to strengthen each other and they will give you a special card. One that truly taps into your very essence. (the door opens and the nurse who let in Michelle and Tyler enters) Nurse: What are you two doing in here still? Your 15 minutes ended a long time ago. Get out; scat! Michelle: Bye Uncle Cedric. *turns around and gives the proffessor a gentle hug* Tyler: *shakes the proffessor's hand once Michelle let's go* Bye Proffessor C. *leaves with his arm around Michelle's shoulders* (As Tyler and Michelle leave, you can hear the nurse and Proffessor Cedric start arguing over him sitting up so soon and the nurse commenting on how he's lucky because he should be in a coma because of the lack of oxygen to his brain lasting so long.)
