The Triforce Tournament Pt. II

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the concluding act to the Triforce Tournament. Allow me to give you a brief history lecture on this event.

*ahem*

Once upon a time, WDA had dorms. When we had dorms, we had issues that I don't want to discuss right now or ever. Out of ingenuity and for the sake of nostalgia, the staff has decided to temporarily bring back the dorms for this event as well as some awareness for the upcoming RP.

Anyways... near the end of the dorm era in 2011 to around this time in 2012 we held a huge academy tournament called the Triforce Tournament. The Tri represents the three dorms we had: Laval Lagoon, Boulder Canyon, and Everfrost Peak. I lead the Lagoon Platoon, Al unofficially lead the BCT (due to the dorm being known to be leaderless and all powerful naturally,) and Dew lead the EPT. Boulder Canyon eventually won the first tournament.

So here we are in this day and age being ironic. Here are the rules for this event:


Advanced Format (Open Tier)

Basic rules
1. Each player in the main lineup has 2 lives,
if you lose a match you lose 1 life (similar to HPX)
2. You may challenge any player from the main lineup of any of the other 2 dorm teams once the tournament starts.
3. You may substitute players and they carry on with the number of lives of the player they were substituted for
4. You may not change decks after winning a match
5. You may change decks after losing a match
6. A player that has lost a match may not be subbed in for a player with 2 lives
7. If you or your opponent has to go during a duel that is already in progress neither player may challenge anyone else until they finish their pending match.
8. You may refuse a challenge with a proper justification, however you absolutely may not stall.

3-way rules
1. If no player of the team has dueled for 48 hours one player from the team will lose one life
2. The order the above happens is predetermined and secret from the team. The order will be given to one member of each team for confirmation. They may not reveal that information. Those people are:

1 Captain from Boulder Canyon

1 Captain from Laval Lagoon

1 Captain from Everfrost Peak

I count on you to not disclose the information you will receive to your teammates, you receive the list only for confirmation after the life has been removed and no other reason.

If either team does not trust a list made by an opposing member to be truly random generated they may propose it to be re-done by someone else if as a dorm they reach that consensus, I will not take offense to that.

The above rules are there to ensure a team will not abuse the nature of the format by letting the other 2 teams lose lives first.

Side Note: ONLY WDA MEMBERS WHO WERE ORIGINALLY APART OF A DORM ARE ALLOWED PRIORITY ACCESS TO TEAMS. We will be posting sign up sheets to gather up old members. If you are a post-dorm member, then you may sign up here to be put on a waiting list. We will not test you. You are automatically free to choose any dorm you like when the priority sessions are over.

EP, you fulfilled your dueling quote for the next 48 hours but still. dew is barely on, lawliet (captain) doesn't seem to care about this, DF didn't even know he was participating in this, and kiryu seems to be too busy to participate.

Since L.Lawliet is the captain, I ask him to do something about this (at least try), otherwise I see nothing good coming out from this situation.

As you can see from my posts from other threads here, I am active. I saw that we lost 1 life, or more like I lost 1. I didn't see any point of responding to that, we didn't get the duel - I can say that I was in DN but none of you were, nothing will change.

Btw, Fusion knows that he is participating in this.

Yeah, he found out yesterday when we challenged him, lol. Anyway, I posted this cause I saw u were being active but no matches have been performed.

Rjuto, I tried to duel, but people from both EP and BC seemed to be avoiding me. One said that they didn't feel like dueling and they didn't want to get locked in with their deck, another said their team is free from dueling, and then someone else just didn't want to.

Well, I was online all night and you never challenged me...You better check the line-ups again.

Rjuto, I can't be on 24/7. I tried dueling, since nobody else on LL is even attemtping to.

I accept that, I've been in touch with melz, mina and Digi and none of them asked to duel after I posted that, gallade doesn't seem to give a f... about the tourney either (I've been getting screens of gallade being challenged).

If I knew more than 1 member of LL was trying to get the duel done, I would've considered let this pass, but hell...

I know you cant be on every hour at everyday, what I'm telling is that, when you were challenging, I was on, and ready to duel if needed.

About the list...the order was chosen at random...so sorry about that.

EP, you might want to start trying to get a duel done. Don't try at the last minute.

Kiryu wont duel, Gallade rejects/avoid challenges like a baus, opda is anywhere but here. We need some changes.
