More news will be released later and the game is dated for sometime in 2014. You can download the update for $14.99. This will upgrade the game as is, with all your data intact. The other option would be to buy the disc version, which will give you all DLC costumes for all characters released until now, as well as future content (to be discussed in the future). This option is available for $39.99.

It's $14.99 for 5 new characters, new modes, new stages and updates to make the game balanced. All in all really good. The $39.99 give you those things as well as every DLC made for Street Fighter plus future DLC. All the DLC so far equals out to about $40 and they're gonna give us the future DLC as well.

To someone who doesn't play Street Fighter competitively or at all this is not much of a sell for you but for us that are into Street Fighter this is a big step up. The game becomes more balanced, we get characters that we've been asking for, new modes and stages, EVERY DLC if we want plus future DLC.

I know it's your opinion but just think of the full picture before putting down something and calling the guys behind it idiots. Yoshinori Ono, the producer of Street Fighter IV has worked very hard to keep the Street Fighter community going strong and collapsed because he was going to every event he could.

Everyone has their own opinion but don't be quick to put down something just because of reputation.
