X is buying Twitch for Y $

Didn't google do it, or did I miss something? Well, since it was confirmed, I missed something, but I can't get out my mind the image that twitch is being reporduced and sold to different people.
Anyways, I can't fathom what this will mean business wise, and amazon isn't known for good things in the field, however I'd say it's much better than Google just because of competition, if Youtube and Twitch were owned by the same company it would be a massive conflict of interests.

Maybe we'll make a posting game, who buys twitch for how much. Mini-market owner down the street buys twitch for 4.67$, 2 cigarettes and a used chewing gum.

I'm just gonna guess CEOs of companies were at an auction house or something and Google probably chickened out.

Well Amazon with it's Amazon Prime membership could very well be integrated into Twitch's streaming for things such as ad-free, name change services, anything you could possibly ask for that could be premium-ish will definitely be there. I mean already you get great deals with Amazon Prime, throwing Twitch benefits would be nice. As for the majority who were not using Twitch's Turbo service in the first place could see good or bad things. We'll have to see where this goes. I can definitely see some serious sponsorship opportunities arising from this for streamers, which can be a great thing if Amazon actually decides to invest much more than 970 M.

But yeah, for sure this is good news. Better than Google owning it.
