Mayor's Mansion

First topic message reminder :

To say the least, this mansion was huge.

It was within a block of other huge mansions for other important people within the Central District, yet it was twice as big as any other houses within sight. The front door stood open with two bouncers creating a passageway effect, a line forming across the grass. However, a straight line in stood clear for any duelists who were specially invited and one of the guards held a clipboard to check incoming people off.

Inside, a bar was set up and people with drinks milled around to softly playing music, yet above the sounds of voices, only the bass could be heard.

A banner hung loosely across the house, stating "WELCOME ALL DUELISTS!"

The ship's staff led all duelists from teh ship directly here, so that they could introduce themselves to eachother further, duel, and generally relax after the stress of being on the media's latest titanic. There was even an official tournament registry official working in an inbuilt office ready to take people's deck changes.

(This is the end of the ship arc. Soon, the party will end and all the areas will open for your use. So post here, keep teh RP active. I was wondering the same thing at first but then everyone was talking about a tournament and signing up.....so I didn't want to disturb the flow of the RP and just went with it.

I don't think anyone talked about signing up for a tournament, you may be confusing it with registering their deck changes. Remember, supposedly you are already part of the tournament, whatever that is going to be, if you came in on that boat. Otherwise all they did was give you a free ride.

This post pretty much started the whole tournament incident for me. Well I guess I just misunderstood. I'll go change a few things and such.

Lupe all this time sitting at the bars, got bored, yawned a little and then stood up, he looked at the people and what they were doing, the party is getting more crowded and less crowded often, he could see people talking, dueling, drinking the night away, even shuffling to music. Lupe then decided to walk around the party. That's boring. Now I need to be social here, a party's not a party without friends and such eh?
Lupe then noticed two kids at the edge of their teens maybe, they just finished a duel, and decided to walk over to them and introduce himself.

As Lupe walks over to Core and Jason, and stops, and sprays the words out, Yo, I'm Lupe, nice game guys. Sooo whats your guys' names? We could hang out, our duel! Since ya know, a party's not a party without friends 'round right? ^^

Loki deactivated his duel disk and tucked his deck away back into its box at his waist. "Thank you for a delightful game, Enya. It really was rather refreshing, over sitting around doing nothing." He spoke with a friendly nod. "I do hope we meet up in the tournament for a nice rematch."

Chad was dissapointed when Enya surrendered. He had hoped to see Loki's Five Headed Dragon. He knew there was one way he had a chance to see it.
"H-hey Loki, w-would you mind d-dueling me quickly?" Chad asked. He then put his deck back in his duel disk. I haven't dueled in nearly five minutes anyways.

"Hm?" Loki turned to see who had addressed him now, finding himself facing Chad. "Oh, well sure." He replied, giving a brief nod to excuse himself from Enya as he brought his deck right back out and brought his duel disk back to life once more. "Ready when you are, Chad."

After the duel, Chad put away his deck and deactivated his duel disk. "I-I better go n-now." Chad said. He waved as he left the bar. He walked around, and noticed Core with two other guys. He thought he'd stop over for a hello.

"H-hi" He said walking up to them. "H-hows your day been" Chad asked Core, ignoring the other guys.

The Mayor of the city, and owner of the residence, was a round man. Though he stood at an average 6"00, his belly and clothing made him seem rather like the Fat Conductor from a certain children's TV show from back in the 90s.

He approached a small podium in the house which was set up with a microphone, knowing that everybody in the house would be able to hear him. He cleared his throat, and began to speak.

"Hello, everybody! I do hope you're enjoying the party. I am the mayor of this humble city and owner of this humble home. If there is anything you need, you need simply ask me and I will help in any way I can. Now, first and foremost, I'd like to apologize to you all sincerely for the trials you endured on your way here. You will be happy to know that all of the rancid terrorists who attacked your ship have been detained by the authorities, save for one, who seemed to have flown off in a helicopter. Not sure where he pulled that from, but it is safe to say that the world's governments are on a keen look-out for him.

Secondly, I'd like to welcome you to Duelist Empire, the biggest dueling-based island in the world, beating even Domino City, Dominio City, Duelist Kingdom and Egypt. Though Egypt is bigger. But it isn't an island, so that doesn't count. If you care to take a look at some of the pamphlets that were littered on the ship, and are also being given away here, then you can find out about some of the facilities we offer to you. I know some of you already have looked at these. If you would like to take your room keys and directions to your room from the member of staff in the main entrance, you may, simple give him your name, he'll sign you off, and you can be on your way.

I would like to take the opportunity to say, have fun here. Though there was the unfortunate business with the terrorists on the ship, it is believed that they were a single group of hired mercenaries who were attempting to hijack ships. Oh, and, should any of you see any unmarked white helicopters, well, you'd better tell one of us. If you see him dropping anything that looks like C4, well, duck and run. We have been told that this 'Larry' chap is quite a strange character. I've been told one story, you see, where there was this small band of Vietnamese soldiers, and when they were sleeping he strapped a single stick of C4 inside all of their- ... What? Oh, yes, right, sorry, back on track.

Welcome to Duelist Empire, all of these facilities are open to you, have fun, and have a pleasant stay. If anybody needs anything, you need only ask. And, by the way, I do believe there is a tournament starting on Monday, if you wish to partake, simply arrive and sign up then. Thank you, and goodbye."

(This means you haven't got long to make any archetype changes. So if you still want to make a new deck, hurry up. If you just want to adjust your current deck that can be done any time during the RP, if that wasn't clear. Kthx.)

"Well, Core, you hear that? There's a tournament. I'm going to sign up and then gonna check out my room. See ya later. Maybe we'll even be matched up in the tournament, eh?" Jason told Core and left. After giving his name and deck to a staff member for the tournament, Jason was escorted to his room in the Relaxation District. "Oh my freaking god....." Jason whispered as he gazed around the room. Jason started to run around the room touching and hugging everything he saw. "THE TOILET IS FREAKING MADE OF GOLD!!!!!!" Jason squealed. Mayor's Mansion - Page 5 3759159654

He started to notice the staff member giving him an awkward look and he stopped. "Don't you have anything else to do?" The staff member left the room keys and left. Jason then resumed his act of excitement. When he finally settled down, he decided to take a nap to regenerate the energy lost.

Sign up zone, got it! Angela whispered herself, then went to sign up. She then went to her new room. Wow.. This is even better than.. Any room I've been in.. She said while entering slowly while looking at the room, also while drooling. A-Ah.. She snapped out of it, as she started to wipe the drool. Angela sat on her bed, and lied down while getting covered. I'm not gonna sleep.. I'm just gonna rest and calm down. Angela then fell asleep.

said the staff member,giving Zero a key with a keychain attached,the number 311 engraved on it

Zero then took the key and proceeded to the designed room,the first thing that came to mind to Zero just passing the door of his room was
-Isn´t this a luxurious room?,and it has a balcony too,nice touch-
Zero left the baggage near the bed and proceeded to the balcony,looking at the ocean,then he took out a dark valkyrie from his deck holder,one that was a different rarity than the others

Chad listened closely to the mayors speech.
"I-I better go now. S-see ya' Core!" Chad said. He walked off, and went to get his room key. He went over to the main entrance, and eventually got the man to hear him. He got his room key, and wanted to see it.

At the room, Chad was quite happy to see his fancy bed, and a bookshelf. Thank God. I left all my books on the boat. He also saw the balcony, smelling the ocean, and listening to the waves. When he snapped out, he went back in. He then grabbed a book off the shelf, and layed down on his bed, reading. Comfy bed.

After the Mayor's Announcement Daniel thought, 'Hmm a tournament and a room sounds good.'
So he signed up for the tournament, did the necessities for the help to show him to his room. As he entered the room the elegance of the room shocked him for a split second. 'Well I guess I wasn't expecting anything much less from the Mayor,' He thought as he chuckled under his breath.
He turned around to the lady who showed him to his room nodded his head and said, "Thank you very much."
As he walked over to the bed, He put his things on the ground and plopped on the bed head to pillow and fell sound asleep.

The mayor bumbled back up to the microphone.

"I've been told alot of you are talking about going to sign up now; Please wait 'till Monday, when the tournament will start, for that. Because the system is always reset to avoid mixups between tournaments, your sign-up credentials will be lost and you'll just have to sign up again on Monday anyway. Thanks!"

He hastily waddled off again.

Luso squeezed around between people, clutching some whiskey in a wine glass. He arrived just to find everybody leaving.
"D'aww, I wanted some fun. I mean, they could've at least stayed for a duel!"
He sat in a chair and watched everybody start to file out of the mansion, sipping his whiskey. Strong stuff. Ew.

Lupe closely heard to both the Mayor's announcements, sighed that the party is finally over, Thank God I can go rest now. then left the bar with his drink behind and went to the closest staff member, then turning in his name, and was given his way and key to his room, once he stepped in his room (to be continued in relaxation district.)

Sentan grabbed his key and took the final swig of his coke, put the glass back on the bar and yawned.

"welp time for some shut eye i guess, its been a long day"

He looked around the party one more time and left. he walked to the relaxation district just like the mayor had said, well thinking all the time about the upcoming tournament, he wanted to win this one so bad. His deck was ready for it, he hoped this was his time, but he knew he had strong competitors, angela, core, hunter, lupe.

"man this is gonna be hard. Come on zek's we can do it."

He continued to walk towards the rooms.

"Well.. I guess I should follow suit and head off to bed as well." Loki said to himself as he rose from the stool he had been sitting at. After having given a brief nod of thanks towards the bar tender who had given him his drink earlier, he left the room, heading off like the others to find his room.

"But I'm bored!" Luso murmured in a childish way, before downing the rest of his whiskey and placing the glass aside. "I guess I'll go and sit in my room until the tournament appears."

He moped back to the relaxation district, found his room, and played on his Xbox until 3 in the morning, at which time he slept.

Now that everybody else is leaving....it's kinda nice in here. "Hey Barkeep, you got any food back there? Oh, I could use another glass of ginger-ale if you don't mind."

Juno sat at the bar and munched on Barbeque Wings while everyone else shuffled off to their rooms. Now that the place wasn't as noisy he found it much more appealing. He was probably annoying the Bartender with all the napkins he was going through as he ate the messy food but he didn't even consider it as he created a large pile of them on the bar. He planned to sit there and eat until he was satisfied. He then make his way to his room after everybody else got out of the way. It'd be much easier to get to his room after everybody else got out of the way.

Hunter after spending so long in the bathroom finally got out to find everyone had left.
"Man that took forever and now everyone's gone....."
Hunter heads for the exit and is given his room key and escorted to his room.
