Mayor's Mansion

First topic message reminder :

To say the least, this mansion was huge.

It was within a block of other huge mansions for other important people within the Central District, yet it was twice as big as any other houses within sight. The front door stood open with two bouncers creating a passageway effect, a line forming across the grass. However, a straight line in stood clear for any duelists who were specially invited and one of the guards held a clipboard to check incoming people off.

Inside, a bar was set up and people with drinks milled around to softly playing music, yet above the sounds of voices, only the bass could be heard.

A banner hung loosely across the house, stating "WELCOME ALL DUELISTS!"

The ship's staff led all duelists from teh ship directly here, so that they could introduce themselves to eachother further, duel, and generally relax after the stress of being on the media's latest titanic. There was even an official tournament registry official working in an inbuilt office ready to take people's deck changes.

(This is the end of the ship arc. Soon, the party will end and all the areas will open for your use. So post here, keep teh RP active. Chad made a small giggle at Angela's "trouble talking" comment, and scratched his head, not being able to think of anything to say.
Rei seems like a nice guy. Don't ruin this.....
"Y-yeah, there's n-no problem with you h-hanging out with us." Chad told Rei. Chad grabbed some food wih Rei, and was hoping not to steer the conversation to the ship. "So Zero, w-what got you i-into this g-game?"

"Oh, a-and hi KenZo...."

Hunter was looking around and noticed a group of people around someone he thought looked familiar. Hunter gets up and walks over to find it was Zero.
ZERO! Guess who it is. Or do i need to do duel you to remember?
Hunter pulls out his new deck and engages his dueldisk. Waiting for a response

That was a good game Zero. Nice to see everyone is getting stronger. I think if the occasion arises we should gather the team back together.
Hunter reaches into his bag and pulls out a bag with few cards in it.
I feel bad i just left you guys in Domino City so here's how i'm making it up to you guys.

When Hunter walked over, Chad began to panic. He was thinking of somewhere to hide, but he thought it was too late. Then, when Hunter challenged Zero, he began to calm down. Maybe he was just in a bad mood before. A really bad mood....

"Y-yes, they are quite g-good." Chad agreed with Zero. Despite thinking Hunter didn't care about him, Chad was still intimidated, and was trying not to stare at him. He then remembered Zero's question.

"I w-was at a garage s-sale, and saw some c-cards on a t-table that looked.... I-interesting." Chad said, not going into detail. "I-I mean, that's what got me into p-playing this game."

Nothing e-exciting has r-really happened i-in my life...." Chad lied. I'd rather no talk about him yet. "A-and....I don't really m-make friends often...." Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned that last part.

Enya looked around , stretching before sneezing twice. Apparently, she was still slightly sick from her time cramped in her cabin, while everyone else had been apparently fighting for the ship: she was lucky to be alive after all that went down. She hoped that her parents/ her country in general hadn't been too worried. That would have been bad.

She approached the line, gave her name to the bouncer, and stepped to the bar, feeling thirsty after all that had gone down. She ordered grape cider- the closest thing to an alcohol drink that there was that she could get, and took a sip, feeling a bit happier. "Just like they make them in Paris." She said, pleased, before taking another sip

Juno had a lot on his mind after the leaving the St. Joan. He couldn't believe his only duel on the the Ocean Floor explorer ended in a short defeat. He decided to give the fiends a try but it didn't work well for him. Perhaps it was time to return to what he knew best. Shortly after making his way into the Mansion he found a table and set his backpack on it. Luckily he had time to get his stuff before the ocean floor explorer went down. It didn't take long before he set up a new deck and he promptly took it to the tournament registry office after packing his stuff back up. He got a chuckle as the woman behind the counter took down his deck info.

"I've always found this monster useless." she said as she placed it back into on top of his deck and handed it back. "You sure you wanna use so few monsters. It seems like suicide to me."

"He only became useful a little while ago, to be honest but he'll soon lead me to victory. Thanks for your help." Juno put his new deck into his duel disk and he headed to the bar for a drink.

"Can I get a ginger ale please?"

"Jees what an experience," Daniel said while exiting the St. Joan.
As he started walking to the mansion he opened his satchel that he got before the Floor explorer starting exploring the floor, took out a box and opened it to check and make sure his cards were okay.
As he entered the mansion he quickly walked to the bar and said, "Hey bartender can I get a wate....ah well make it a Root Beer." Considering how long he been thinking of water he didn't want one.

"thank you," He said for his root beer he received.
'Man I really need to start meeting people and actually duel somebody,' he thought to himself as he took another sip of his Root Beer. He looked around the room and saw a kid who didn't look like he was doing much so he walked up to him and said, "Hello there friend, My name is Daniel Brooks it is a pleasure to meet you," He said while reaching his hand out for a friendly handshake. {talking to Chad}

"no crap man. Ive just been dueling against those clowns on the ship and ive been close to death, that keeps a man sleepy."

He shouts at the bar tender.

"bottle of coke please mate."

He turns to the guy.

"so , i dont think weve been introduced, whats your name."

From the looks of it, everybody seemed happy once again on the island—back on land, a certain feeling that you get as a human to appreciate the earth for what it is. Regardless of what people thought about me, I have been used to traveling. Whether it is boat, car, plane, walking for long distances, you name it. It never occurred to me that everybody would have the same feelings as I. Experiences you share with others, the bonds you make, are all so real and make me realize that I am not the only one who matters. I guess you could call it: salvation.

Manabu and Koaru helped me with the things we reclaimed (back packs and traveling bags,) and we were escorted to a VIP room. From the looks of this glorious mansion, somebody had to be wealthy and hosting this, but who would it be? That is a mystery. After changing into a cute, faded blue dress with a Californian summer hat and some cute black shoes, I departed my two dear companions and headed over to the main area, there I saw that rude man from the dinner table and decided to maybe, perhaps get to know him and understand him. I approached him.

Jason rushed back to the bathrooms again and changed into the clothes the man had given him. Jason found the pants too big so he looped the belt from his other pants through the new ones. Jason stepped out of the stall and examined himself in the mirror. The white tee was a couple sizes too big for him and the pants were really baggy. He would've looked like a gangster if he had a few chains or something.
"I guess the will do," Jason said, grateful to be out of those wet pants.
Jason headed back out to the party and found the man who gave him the clothes.
"Hey, thanks so much for the fresh clothes, even if they are too big. I'm just glad that I;m finally out of those wet jeans," Jason said with a chuckle. "So what's your name?"

Chad was not surprised by his defeat, and tried ignoring Jason. A guy around his age then came up to him, and Chad tried his best to make a good impression.
"O-oh.... H-hello...." Chad said quietly, giving him a weak handshake. "I-I'm Chad."That's new. I didn't studder my name. Chad, not being sure what to do, scratched his head thinking of something to say. "So.... I-I suppose your d-day was all s-sunshine and r-roses." Chad sarcastically stated.

"Well I guess I am not as shaken up as I should be about the event that happened on the ship.....But we survived so that would be something to be happy about, and we are in this nice mansion." Daniel said before taking another long sip of his root beer.
"But anyway I haven't dueled one person this whole time I've started this trip, so would you mind if we had a little friendly throw down?"
